Sr. O'Dea really makes me want to punch walls sometimes. I hate how she just EXPECTS us to understand things. Like, in class today when we were going over the questions that we had to do last night, she yelled at us and asked us WHY we didn't understand it. Um...I just didn't understand it because it didn't make SENSE. How the hell am I supposed to know what Jonathan Swift is satirizing if the reading doesn't make any damn sense???? Thanks for making me feel like a complete dumbass, woman. I needed that. Because it's not like I don't already have self-confidence issues. Thanks.
And I'm really freaked out for starting rehearsals for my one-act because I'm directing CM and she is one of those people that is IN CHARGE. So I don't know how that's going to go down...having me in charge of her. I'm also a bit stressed about the fact that we have almost no rehearsals before tech week. And when I say a bit stressed I mean I'm thoroughly panicking.
So yeah. That's kind of how life is going right now. Great.

Africa
Okay, just gonna say that THIS IS THE COOLEST THING I HAVER EVER SEEN.
I've literally watched this about a hundred times in the last two days. I want to do this in choir.
Okay. That's all. Watch it.

Oversexed guppies
I'm going to have to say that today was a good day for pretty much the whole day, which has happened extremely rarely in the past few weeks. Handbells. Religion class, where Ms. Triebold spent about ten minutes telling me that Peter was naked in a boat while fishing with the rest of the disciples. I'm actually a little bit excited about the research paper in history for this trimester. I'm writing it on the Manhattan Project, which should be really interesting. Plus, it makes me think of Watchmen, so that's an extra exciting bonus. (On that note, Nite Owl is on my team.)
Thespian officer meeting was fun; I'm still unbelieveably excited about getting to wear battle armor in the play!!! The biology lab was fun. And now, considering it, it would have been funny to watch. Seeing Mr. Fenoli and fourteen juniors crawling around on the floor scooping beans and macaroni into paper cups...Hmm. English class was actually not bad. Sr. O'Dea was in a relatively good mood and told me that my thesis was good (I don't know if that's ever happened yet). She even smiled a few times! (ON THAT NOTE. We decided in rehearsal today that Sr. O'Dea is LITERALLY the Professor McGonagall of Forest Ridge. No joke.)
Rehearsal was awesome. We were supposed to do a run of the show sans music, but there were a couple people sick and the sophomores are at Camp Orkila, so we had like seven people, so we did character work, which is really fun. And we got off into crazy tangents. Yay crazy drama kids!
Tomorrow is not going to be the most pleasant day ever (Physics, Calc, and French) but Flashforward is on tomorrow (whoooooooo) and I don't have to be at rehearsal, so I might get my homework done before 11:30, for once.
I would like to share this with y'all...I discovered this song this summer and I love it. The video's kinda weird, and the first part of the song is also weird, but it's a hella cool song.
P.S. The title of this post refers to Mr. Fenoli's quote last week while we were working on the lab about mating guppies.

I really hate Tuesdays
How in God's name is it only the THIRD week of school??? I swear to God, I'm literally going to die this year. My Tuesday schedule is quite possibly the most hellacious thing I have ever encountered. The morning isn't too bad, Religion, English, Biology, and History, but then after (irritatingly short) lunch, I have French 4, AP Calc, then AP Physics. So I get to feel like a tard ALL afternoon, instead of spread out evenly throughout the day. Madame makes me feel like an idiot, then I get through calculus with difficulty, and then I usually don't get a lot of the physics homework so I feel like an idiot again. GOD. I'm going to die.
I need a Spock. For several reasons. One, because he's really freaking attractive. Two, because he's really freaking smart, and we could do a Vulcan mind-meld and I could gain fantastical genius smartness and totally kick ass at calc and physics.
I would be okay with either Spock, actually.

Anyways...I need to study for calc and physics but I can't focus on either when I'm around people (I'm at rehearsal), so that will need to happen when I get home...whatever. Aaaaggghhhhh.

naked Eric Bana
I went and saw The Time Traveler's Wife tonight (with my parents, which was kinda awk, but whatever). Which is an AMAZING book and I think that everyone should read it, preferably before seeing the movie. The movie left out a bunch of stuff, naturally, just because the book has so much detail, but it was really well done. And besides, what can be bad about a movie that has Eric Bana running around VERY frequently completely stark naked??? Exactly. It's sad, though. I cried. I cried when I read the book, too. It's one of those things that makes you cry without being depressing, you know?
<-- Observe.
Well. School starts tomorrow. My math tutor this year is a young guy who is potentially attractive. I'm meeting him on Saturday, so we'll see...

gorillas and Mr. Darcy
Today I got an awesome book. It's a board book. It's called Good Night, Gorilla, and it is quite possibly the most awesome kid's book I have ever encountered.
Let's see here. Finished reading and sparknoteing Pride and Prejudice...organized all my binders and crap for school...I really have nothing interesting to say. Damn.
Oh yeah and I've recently re-discovered David Harsh and have been listening to his music hella.

So...
Well...here's my blog. Of course, now that I've actually created a blog, anything remotely interesting that I might have had to say has completely fallen out of my brain. Naturally.
Okay.
I went to the zoo with my mom today, the main reason being that I wanted to go feed the giraffes, which I did. It was awesome, like it always is, and my hand got caressed by giraffe teeth and tongue, which is less gross than it sounds. I also got giraffe breath in my face, which was warm and smelled like grass. My mom literally made my wash off my face when we got home because the giraffe breathed on me. Jeez. But anyways, feeding the giraffes was awesome. You're not allowed to pet them, but you get way up close to them and it's amazing.
We also saw the snow leopard cubs, and I've decided I officially love tapirs. There were three of them and they were all sprawled out and...yeah. P.S. I want to ride an ostrich some time.
Anyways. I should go finish my summer reading. *headdesk*
