Random happenstances.

This is going to be one of those lovely braindumps. Not a happy list, not a rant list, nothing in particular. Just some ramblings.

My friends Johnathan and Jackson, their band is awesome. I've been listening to some of their stuff on their site and I really need to actually go to one of their gigs sometime. They have a song called "Attack of the Pegasi," as in plural of Pegasus. It's fabulous.

We're leaving school tomorrow at 10:00 to drive to the airport to go to Spokane for Knowledge Bowl State (WHOOOO!) On an entirely different note, I first typed "Knowledge Bowel" just now. Completely different meaning. Gross.

Castle FTW. My mode of procrastination the past several days has been watching behind the scenes stuff with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic and it's quite fun. They're like a married couple. She's hysterical/crazy/random/badass/Canadian/adorable. Platonic lady crush. In one such interview, she demonstrated how to properly kill someone with a knife (a skill she learned for some movie). Whilst wearing heels. Badass.

I can't decide whether I want warm springy weather or wintery weather still. I don't mind either.

My dad's brief rant about the casting choice of Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia kind of made my night just now.

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY excited for Camp Huston this summer.

I had something else to say, too, but it just completely fell out of my brain. Fail.

Nuvole Bianche

Wow. I haven't written anything here in a looooooooong time.

Today was kind of suckish, so I'm going to make a list of things that have made me really happy in the past several whiles.

1. The adorable old couple holding hands and saying grace together at Taco Time on Friday.
2. Facebook chatting with Ally tonight and her telling me that something I said made her literally laugh out loud in the middle of the library. And that Ziggy said hi. :)
3. This amazing, amazing book that I just finished reading, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It's the first book in a fantasy series about demon hunters and magical stuff and werewolves and hot men and all that lovely stuff I like. It's excellent. And it's set in New York.
4. The look on Evan Lysacek's face when he realized he had won the gold medal.
5. Seeing the sloth right up next to the window at the nocturnal house at the zoo the day before it closed.
6. Getting a letter back from Homer Hickam!!!
7. My stuffed tree kangaroo, Sebastian.
8. The fact that we have a Dumbledore's Army at school now.
9. Chicken bacon ranch flatbread sandwiches and macaroni-n-cheese for dinner tonight. Nom.
10. Watching Olympic curlers screaming "HARD! HARD! HARD!" nonstop.
11. On that note, the Norwegian Curling team's pants.
12. I found this song and it's among the most incredible things I've ever heard. It falls shortly after Bon Jovi's rendition of "Hallelujah," which has the permanent #1 spot.

I should do happy lists more often. They're nicer than furious rants about the suckish parts of life. I'll remember that. :)
